Scoreboard Overlays

Add a scoreboard to help track while watching playback.

I think it would be a great quality-of-life improvement to add an optional scoreboard to each video to be able to track the score/progression of the game when watching it back.

Totally agree @Ruby Kennedy . User corrections is certainly something we are working towards in the coming year.

    It’s live!

Note: It’s only supporting regular scoring at the moment — not rally scoring.

@Peter S . We are nearly there with auto-scoring and displaying them in the interface like this:

Just giving a quick update on this one. We are progressing on scoring improvements and expect to be able to release automatic scoring (with scoreboard overlays) this year.

What do you folks feel is an acceptable error range? For example is reporting a game as 12-10 okay if the real score was 11-9? We also have some difficulty deciding what to do in the cases where players get the score or serve wrong (it happens in 1 out of 3 games).

This is the main feature that’s lacking that’s keeping me from buying the subscription. Especially for wanting sharing videos, the scoring is the main thing missing.

Error range: Yes, if it’s 90-95% accurate at least initially, that would be fine. Also, if it thinks the players have gotten the score or serve wrong is could add a *flag or something.

Inaccuracies via auto-detection are acceptable if accuracy is in the 90% range, but it would be helpful to allow subsequent score corrections, which then automatically adjust all following scores. For example, I could be watching the video, reach a point in the video where I know the score is X-Y, but it’s reported as X1-Y1. The interface should allow me to correct the score (i.e., enter in X or Y or both).
