Support drill session recordings (ball machine, partner, serving)
Example: User records themself and a drilling partner. Player A is feeding shots from the kitchen, Player B is hitting drops from near the baseline. The system then provides analytics on all shots from Player B which allows for analysis of drop characteristics.
Shot Editing
It would be very beneficial to be able to edit the shots. For example, removing a falsely identified “serve” that was really a knockback. For V1, we’re thinking players should be able to at least remove a rally or a shot so that they don’t show up in the Shot Explorer. Future iterations might enable players to add in missing things or correct shot trajectories, types, quality, player assignment, etc. from the AI designation which can be incorrect.
Automatic game splitting from a single long video file
PB Vision app can automatically turn a 1 or 2 hour video into it’s constituent games. This would save the user from having to start and stop the recording form their phone. It would also help make it easier for folks using PB Vision through their local facility Save My Play camera setup (see: https://pb.vision/partner).
Better support for left-handed players
Currently, our models assume players are right handed. We’d like to introduce a profile setting for a player to indicated their handedness and that would be fed back into the system so the data would be more accurate (especially with forehand/backhand labeling). That would improve shot explorer: when filtering by “forehand” shot for left-handed players the shots are actually left-handed player’s backhand.

True KAP Computation
Many people like Anna Bright and RealClearStats take a much stricter view of what Kitchen Arrival Percentage is, at least for Serving KAP which is the most important. Roughly KA Success is both servers arriving at the line STABLE, or winning the point outright on 3/5/7 shot on the way in. PBV’s current Kitchen Arrival metric is far off - it often shows rallies where a serve team member doesn’t even get in. At high levels, this is one of the most important stats: in fact, Ben at RCS has data showing a clear correlation between DUPRs and KAP. What would it take to get a much more useful KAP metric? I’m happy to expound further and to even provide examples.
List of AI prompts
Do you have a list of different AI prompts to ask for the best advice and analytics? I am unsure how to word all the different things that I might want to know. I figure you guys would have the best ideas for prompts.
Save Clips on Desktop
Option needed to save clips and download to desktop. Currently only available in the mobile app. Phone not always available, less storage space, and editing software is on desktop.
Profile Refresh + Social Feeds
A more compelling, social player profile inspired by apps like Strava. More coming soon.

Vision-Based Skill Ratings (2.0-8.0 DUPR)
Our AI can now analyze a game keying in on over 30 characteristics of each player’s performance. The end result is an overall performance rating on the 2.0-8.0 scale that shows how well each player did that game. Additionally, we are able to add more depth/dimension to the skill rating with a comprehensive 6-skill rating system that shows a player’s skill over individual games, multiple games, and all time. Here are our first six skill categories we’ll roll out: Serve: Measures effectiveness in initiating the point through control, placement, depth, and consistency. Return: Measures ability to counter the serve through depth, speed, and consistency. Offense: Measures ability to apply pressure, execute attacks, and finish points. Defense: Measures ability to neutralize attacks, reset play, and maintain rally stability. Agility: Measures player movement efficiency and ability to maintain optimal positioning—getting to the kitchen and stationary when hitting being key. Consistency: Measures how effective the player is at winning games and minimizing errors (forced + unforced). Here is what it will look like on the Trends page (just replace the 50s with a 2.0-8.0 number):
Cross-Game Trends—Are my stats improving?
PB Vision will now be able to keep track of your stats over time. This allows you to see various aspects of your game improving as you practice and play more. There are also additional stats exposed through this cross-game trends view. The feature will include history & trends over time, quality ratings, skill ratings, and a public link to share your profile.
Reel Creator
Choose from starred shots / highlights (in Shot Explorer) Can be sourced from any videos Can crop for social media (e.g., vertical for tiktok) Export to social media or download mp4 Auto reels for games from AI-detected highlights (currently longer rallies, ATPs, Ernes, poaches, firefights, etc.)
Identify and Track Unforced Errors
Differentiate between an unforced error and an error forced by a good shot. Not only allows user to track improvement over time, but showing the location where the unforced error occurred and whether it was backhand, forehand, overhead, or dink could be very useful in knowing what to improve. We’ve developed an unforced error classification system as of September 2025. We are currently working to expose this information on individual insights reports, trends page, and as a filter in the Shot Explorer.

Just the Rallies Exporter
Bring back Just the Rallies exports! While PB Vision already removes dead time when analyzing rallies, the full-length video still includes time between points during playback. It would be helpful to have an option that lets users watch a version of the video where all downtime between rallies is trimmed out — making the match easier and faster to review. This would be especially useful for coaches and players looking to focus on gameplay-only footage.

Scoreboard Overlays
Add a scoreboard to help track while watching playback. I think it would be a great quality-of-life improvement to add an optional scoreboard to each video to be able to track the score/progression of the game when watching it back.
